Expertise on Demand

01

Instantly answer questions about your equipment.

+

"Which hydraulic fluid do I need?"

"ISO VG 46 hydraulic oil"

"What type of coolant should I use in the radiator?"

"50/50 pre-mixed ethylene glycol antifreeze, meeting ASTM D3306 specifications"

"The Cummins QSB6.7 is showing fault code 2973."

"That code is Intake Manifold 1 Pressure - Data Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect, which means the ECM is reading pressure values outside the expected range. Usually this indicates a sensor issue."

02

Create and update standard tasks for new or modified equipment.

+

Generate comprehensive maintenance procedures by combining equipment manuals with your existing task templates.

03

Walk technicians through any task, step by step.

+

Task: 1000 hour service on Komatsu PC200 excavator.

Step: Hydraulic filter replacement.

AI: "Locate the hydraulic filter housing on the right side of the upper structure. You'll need a strap wrench and a drain pan with at least 10L capacity. First, clean around the filter base to prevent contamination."

Technician: "Wait, where is the access panel?"

AI: "It's behind the right-hand side door, secured with two 17mm bolts at the top."

Task: Semi-annual PM on Carrier 30RB chiller.

Step: Check refrigerant sight glass.

AI: "The sight glass is located on the liquid line between the condenser and the expansion valve - look for a small round window with a brass or steel rim on the 2-inch copper pipe. You should see clear liquid refrigerant flowing past. Note any bubbles, foam, or if it appears empty. Also check the moisture indicator in the center - it should be green. Yellow indicates moisture contamination."

Technician: "I see bubbles."

AI: "That indicates low refrigerant. But first verify the subcooling - it should be 4-8°C. Low subcooling confirms a leak."

Task: Annual service on Caterpillar C15 genset

Step: Adjust the valve clearances

AI: "Using feeler gauges, check the gap between rocker arm and valve stem. Intake should be 0.38mm, exhaust 0.64mm. To adjust, loosen the locknut with a 19mm wrench, turn the adjuster screw with a 4mm allen key until you feel slight drag on the gauge, then tighten the locknut while holding the adjuster."

Technician: "What's the firing order?"

AI: "1-5-3-6-2-4."
